I have a week that is so busy I can't even think. As most people who have visited my blog know, I'm into Abraham Lincoln lately. Since my next three books are based on certain aspects associated with his assassination, I'm deep in research. President Lincoln spent his early years in southern Indiana. As a child, I visited Lincoln's Boyhood Home in Spencer County, Indiana. I walked through the woods to see the remains of the cabin he lived in and visited his mother's grave. Stories of how they lived and how his mother died fascinated me.
Many things changed since my first visit, from the outside amphitheater to the old cabin. I would love to return someday. For more information on Lincoln's Boyhood Home visit http://www.indianasabelincoln.org/visit-abe from The History Channel Magazine.
