It's Not Worth Anything

I look around my home and see many things that have a story attached to them.  Meaningless little things most people would probably throw away.  I'm a keeper of the most insignificant items such as:

In the bedroom, on the bookshelf, sits a Sam's Choice, Free & Clear, Low-Calorie Sparkling Flavored Beverage can.  The silver aluminum glows with a brilliant line of reflecting light.  The orange ring around the top notes it is Golden Peach.  Bold words "Sam's Choice" in red and blue printed on the side match the American flag on the back of the can located in with the miscellaneous hype and propaganda on every Free & Clear can.  It sits snug, between Lori Morgan's Forever Yours Faithfully and Jan Hudson's Sugar Anne.

I can't tell you what year I got this can.  I can't even tell you what state it was purchased in for I didn't purchase it.  My father brought it in a case of soda when he came one time on a vacation from Indiana.

My father touched it, feeling it, weighing a decision that it was unusual.  So I've kept this can on my bookshelf, because it is unusual.  It's not worth anything.  It's just a sealed, empty Sam's Choice, Golden Peach can with no holes in it.
